Job Description:
The Middle Eastern team based in Doha works on construction and engineering disputes. Main clients of the team are governments and developers. The team works closely with other external advisors (financial and technical) and often with wider global offices in both Construction and Finance to better support the construction projects. Given the teams’ plans for growth, the team is looking for Mid/Senior Associates to join the practice and help service the growing roster of major construction and engineering disputes.
Key Requirements:
- 3 - 7 PQE obtained in a comparable environment.
- Must be admitted in a common law jurisdiction preferably trained and qualified with a prestigious international law firm.
- Ability to contribute to the general upkeep of the construction team.
- Regional experience is preferred but also open to candidates based abroad and open to relocating to Doha, Qatar.
- Strong commercial awareness – but most importantly a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in construction and engineering disputes.
- High standard of client care for existing clients at the highest level.
- Enthusiasm to market to clients.
- Knowledge of key areas of the law by providing clear, precise, practical advice.
- Excellent academic achievement with a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent.
- Clear understanding of the operation and structure of a top law firm.
