Job Description

My client – a leading international financial institution is seeking to hire a Learning & Development Officer to join their team in Dublin City Centre. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all employees are efficiently trained to high standards in order to carry out tasks. You will support the delivery of all stages of the L&D system for various upskilling and training activities for the business. Initially this position will be on a 6-month agency pay contract however there is strong scope for permanency.

The salary on offer is circa €50k however negotiable depending on relative work experience. Non E.U. nationals must be eligible to work in Ireland without restrictions.

Qualifications

  • Third level related degree/equivalent professional qualification
  • 3-4 years’ experience in L&D background preferably in financial services
  • Knowledge of evidence-based training strategies
  • Ability to create and edit videos highly desirable
  • Solid Knowledge of learning styles (Honey & Mumford and VARK)
  • Strong MS Office skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, oral & written communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the 4 stage L&D system is used effectively to train on all process tasks
  • Support the upskill of trainers using standard Train the Trainer approaches
  • Oversee the production of training materials and support documentation
  • Create a content repository for the management of all training material
  • Responsible for the development of the Training Plan
  • Execute and coordinate Training plan for new processes and ensure delivery within SLA
  • Use mentoring and coaching approaches to guide staff through the L&D system
